In 2000 we manufactured the first padded foam items and gained professional working experience with several manufacturers.
The Bidenschmiede was founded in 2011.

We create props for the movie, theater and improvisational theater (live action role play). In doing so, we orientate ourselves on realistic and historical models, but also work out customer-oriented individual wishes and ideas. We have professional experience in this area since 2000.

Thanks to molding techniques with silicone molds, we can work with an extremely high level of detail. For our upholstered sports articles for improvisational theater, in addition to the conventional cores made of fiberglass (only for lengths over 130 cm), cores made of carbon are primarily used. We have these especially made for this purpose. Carbon gives us the opportunity, thanks to a narrower blade cross-section, to be even closer to a realistic presentation than it would be possible with conventional GRP rods. And that without any loss of stability.

We go to great lengths with the coloring. By using primers and multiple layers of paint with different shades of color, we are able to achieve a high-quality end result. As a final protective layer, we use a special colorless varnish that does not yellow over time.
